My mother has just been doing her thing in total stealth mode and come to find out that ol' girl hasn't been so quiet after all. Among her many accomplishments, one of which is having moi for a dear daughter LOL, she has made a state appointment. She's been appointed to the OES, Office of Emergency Services - Domestic Violence Program Advisory Council. It's a state appoint made by California State Senator Don Perata. *clappin hands* I just got the email in my inbox from her as an FYI. *chuckle* My mother is too much. Anyway here is the "official" letter. There were about 6 other people for different advisory positions, but who cares about them. LOL

PERATA ANNOUNCES RULES APPOINTMENTS


(SACRAMENTO) – Senate President pro Tem Don Perata, Chair of the Senate Rules Committee, has announced the following appointments:

Cherri Allison, a Democrat from Oakland, has been appointed to the Domestic Violence Program Advisory Council (OES). Ms. Allison is an attorney and the Executive Director of the Family Violence Law Center.

The Domestic Violence Program Advisory Council collaborates with the Office of Emergency Service’s Comprehensive Statewide Domestic Violence Program which provides financial and technical assistance to local domestic violence centers and assists the Program in developing funding priorities, framing the request for proposals and soliciting proposals. This is a pleasure term.
